Yes, we prioritize using recycled polyester whenever we can.

Every piece in our collection manufactured from our US production partner is made from 75% recycled polyester (rPET), sourced from post consumer plastic waste.

If you're ordering from Europe, the majority of our pieces are made from at least 81% recycled polyester including all our bikinis, Swim Trunks, Breezy Swim Trunks, Scuba Leggings, and Cropped Rashies.

We use recycled polyester because compared to traditional polyester, rPET reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 79%. We make every order on demand, which means zero overproduction and nothing goes to landfill unsold.

Seawater absorbs red and yellow wavelengths of light almost immediately, while blue and green wavelengths penetrate deeper. In shallow, clear tropical water with a white sandy seafloor reflecting light back upward, those blue and green wavelengths combine to create the luminous, glowing turquoise that stops divers in their tracks before they've even hit the water.

The clarity matters too, tropical oceans tend to have lower nutrient levels than cooler seas, which means less plankton and algae clouding the water, allowing light to travel further and that turquoise to glow more intensely.
