Every piece in our collection manufactured from our US production partner is made from 75% recycled polyester (rPET), sourced from post consumer plastic waste.

If you're ordering from Europe, the majority of our pieces are made from at least 81% recycled polyester including all our bikinis, Swim Trunks, Breezy Swim Trunks, Scuba Leggings, and Cropped Rashies.

We use recycled polyester because compared to traditional polyester, rPET reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 79%. We make every order on demand, which means zero overproduction and nothing goes to landfill unsold.

The calyx is the cup-shaped skeletal structure that each individual coral polyp lives inside — the architectural foundation of everything a coral reef is built from.

Each tiny polyp, no bigger than a pencil eraser, secretes calcium carbonate to form its calyx, and over hundreds and thousands of years, billions of these microscopic cups stack and fuse together to create the vast, complex reef structures that support a quarter of all marine life on earth. It's one of nature's most extraordinary acts of collective building, each individual contribution seemingly insignificant, the cumulative result utterly breathtaking.

The calyx is also one of the first things affected by ocean acidification, as seawater becomes more acidic due to rising CO₂ levels, the calcium carbonate that corals need to build their skeletal cups literally dissolves, weakening reef structures that took millennia to construct.

Scientists studying coral health look closely at calyx formation as one of the earliest indicators of reef stress, making it one of the most important and overlooked structures in the ocean.
