Measure yourself, not a garment you own. US orders are made from recycled polyester (firmer, less stretch) — size up if between sizes. EU orders use traditional polyester (more stretch, more forgiving) — size down if between sizes.

Fit Tips for Diving
US orders: size up
US dive shorts are made from recycled polyester, which is firmer and has less give. If you're between sizes or on the border, we recommend sizing up — a touch more room is more comfortable over long dive days and easier to pull on over swimwear.EU orders: size down
EU dive shorts use traditional polyester, which is stretchier and more forgiving. If you're between sizes or on the border, we recommend sizing down — the fabric relaxes to your shape, so the smaller size gives a closer, better-supported fit.Size to your hips
For shorts, always prioritise your hip measurement — it's the widest point the shorts need to clear. If your waist and hips suggest different sizes, go with your hips; the waistband has stretch and will sit comfortably either way.Worn over swimwear or as a base layer
Dive shorts sit comfortably over swimwear and can layer under a wetsuit to reduce friction when suiting up. Recycled polyester softens slightly with saltwater and wear, so a snug fit at first will relax a little after the first few dives while keeping its shape and UPF 50+ protection.Which Measurement to Prioritise
If your waist and hip measurements suggest different sizes, always prioritise your hips for dive shorts — they determine whether the shorts clear comfortably, and the waistband stretches to fit.
