Because the reefs you love deserve more.

THE FOUNDER
HI, I'M ANDREA.
I've been chasing the underwater world since my first open water dive in Belize in 2008. Since then I've dived the Similan Islands in Thailand, earned my Rescue certification in Playa del Carmen, and got my Divemaster in Dahab, Egypt in 2022, one of the most humbling and exhilarating things I've ever done.
The ocean has taken me everywhere. And the more time I've spent underwater, the harder it's become to ignore what's happening to it.
I studied Chemical Engineering in Colorado and went on to complete a Master's in Sustainability Science and Technology in Barcelona, because I've always believed that the most urgent problems deserve rigorous, evidence-based solutions. I spent years working in renewable energy before being laid off in April 2024. Instead of looking for the next corporate role, I did something I'd been quietly thinking about for a long time. I started The Dive Compass.
I started The Dive Compass for every diver who loves the ocean enough to want their gear to protect it.
WHY THE DIVE COMPASS EXISTS
I SAW A GAP. AND I COULDN'T UNSEE IT.
As a petite diver, I spent years struggling to find bikinis that actually fit, let alone ones that stayed put under a BCD or wetsuit or didn't come untied when gearing up on a rocking boat. But talking to divers across the size spectrum, I quickly realised this wasn't just my problem. Whether you're an XXS or a 6XL, finding dive swimwear that performs, fits, and looks like something you actually want to wear is harder than it should be.
On top of that, I couldn't find sustainable dive wear that didn't look like it was designed to be apologetic about existing. No vibrant prints. No ocean-inspired designs. Nothing that felt like it was made by someone who actually dives.
So I made it myself. The Dive Compass launched in June 2024, ocean-inspired, sustainably made, and built to stay put on every dive.

OUR CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP
THIS IS WHAT YOUR PURCHASE FUNDS.
One of the things that quietly breaks a diver's heart is returning to a site you loved and finding it diminished.
That's why finding Livingseas Foundation changed everything for me.
In April 2025, I flew from my home in Australia to volunteer with their coral restoration team in Padang Bai, Bali for the first time. I've been back four or five times since. What struck me most wasn't just the science or the method, it was that every time I returned, the restoration site was bigger, more alive with more fish and more color.
In a world where divers expect degradation, Livingseas is proving the opposite is possible. Their goal is to restore five hectares of reef in Bali, located at the heart of the coral triangle which is the most biodiverse marine region on earth. They currently have almost one hectare restored, with over 450,000 coral fragments planted by hand.
In March 2026, they asked me to join their team part-time as Tourism and Outreach Manager for Australia, a role that felt like the natural next step after everything I'd seen underwater in Bali.
Through our Save Our Seas Pledge, coral fragments are planted with every Dive Compass purchase directly at Livingseas' restoration site.

A reef that keeps on getting better
Our Impact So Far
The Dive Compass has shipped to over 10 countries, and every order, wherever it goes in the world, plants a coral in Bali, contributing to regenerating the marine ecosystem one coral fragment at a time. We're a small brand with a specific, measurable commitment: every purchase does something real for the ocean.
This is what we're building toward. Not just great dive wear but a community of divers who suit up knowing their gear is actively restoring the reefs they love.
